Hardwicke Building is pleased to announce the arrival of John de Waal who joins from the renowned Birmingham set St Philips Chambers. John will become a member the specialist Property team led by Michelle Stevens-Hoare.
John has developed an outstanding practice specialising in chancery and commercial law with a particular focus on property and property related professional negligence cases. He is regularly instructed in the Chancery Division as well as the Court of Appeal and has appeared in the House of Lords. He recently acted for the developer Mainstream Properties, in the one of the three linked cases on economic torts in the House of Lords, now reported as OBG v Allan  1 AC 1.
