On 12 September 2012 the Court of Appeal handed down its decision in Rubenstein v HSBC Bank Plc  EWCA, overturning a controversial High Court decision in a financial professional negligence claim by a private retail customer.
Nigel Jones QC and Sarah McCann will analyse the significance of this headline case in a broad professional negligence context including:
