The next #HardwickeBrew from the Insolvency Team takes place on Thursday, 18 June at 16:00.
In previous Brews we have considered the impact of the Corporate Insolvency and Governance Bill on the ability of creditors to wind up companies in respect of unpaid debts.
In this Brew, focus shifts to debtors and the impact which the Bill might have on applications for injunctions to restrain presentation and advertisement of winding up petitions. Jonathan Titmuss, Phillip Patterson and Katrina Mather with Sarah Clarke moderating, will discuss the recent decision of Morgan J in re A Company and will share some of their own experiences of the exercise of judicial discretion in the current climate.
So, armed with whatever drink you need to get you through these lockdown afternoons, please join us to discuss both trends and issues raised from the increased use of technology in professional services.
#HardwickeBrews are online, informal Zoom chats aimed at keeping everyone up to date and giving us all a forum in which to exchange opinions and experiences.
Please get in touch with Sarah, preferably before the session starts, if you would like to pose any questions or make any comments on these issues. You will of course also be able to do this during the #HardwickeBrew itself.
Wandering children or pets welcome! It is all part of the Brew experience.
If you would like to join in, please indicate this by sending an email to: events@gatehouselaw.co.uk.
We look forward to catching up at a safe social distance.
