Cameron Stocks of Hardwicke and James Urquhart-Burton of Ridley & Hall Solicitors reflect on a recent case involving allegations of emotional and financial abuse.

The case required the authors to consider whether the lasting effects of abuse could give rise to a claim for reasonable financial provision under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 by a daughter against her father’s estate.
