Strength and depth across the professional negligence spectrum

Chambers UK

Our market-leading and substantial Professional Liability team are frequently instructed to act in claims for or against solicitors, barristers, engineers, architects, surveyors, project managers, accountants, auditors, actuaries, financial advisers and insurance brokers. We are also regularly retained in D&O matters. Both Legal 500 and Chambers UK Bar recognise us as a leading set for Professional Liability and our ranked members are particularly regarded for their technical expertise.

Members act for both domestic and international individuals, businesses and insurers.  Several members of the team have substantial relevant in-house experience from having worked at or been seconded to insurers, large solicitors’ firms, claims handlers and brokers.

As well as advising on the substantive dispute, members also deal with associated issues such as coverage and other professional indemnity insurance issues, as well as regulatory disputes.

Members of chambers are contributing authors to Construction All Risks Insurance, Construction Professional Indemnity Insurance (both Sweet & Maxwell), Insurance Broking Practice and the Law ((Informa) and Risk and Negligence in Property Transactions (Law Society).
